STUMBLE AID

Hi there nice to meet you.

I’m just some guy and Stumble Aid is run by me.

It’s just an idea I had last week to try to focus some attention on a few other sites I had found that offer ways to raise money for charities and organizations.

Now I’m just some guy who knows a little bit about web design (very, very basic) and thought this might draw a little attention to sites that I think are doing some good work.

I also figured that if I could help to point a few people in the direction of these sites featured around here that maybe that could help raise more for those sites than I alone can afford to give right now.

Stumble Aid is a completely non for profit site and I do not benefit financially in any way from running it. There’s NO sponsored ads. NO affiliate schemes. In short… NO SCAM!!!

Just some good stuff I’ve heard about and want to pass on information about because I think it can help out a few people.

I’ve spent a little money making this site (but not as much as you might think) since the site is built using a great thing called wordpress that I’m learning about which is free software to make websites (I advise you all to google it right now and start learning how to make your own sites about stuff that you think is groovy!)

Basically what I’m trying to do with this site is find out about ways that people can help to earn money for charity through various means without necessarily donating money to them. There’s lots of charities and some of them have various ways of making money through sponsors and partnership deals.

It’s amazing really how many cool ways there are to help just with a little effort. Sometimes even just a click will help out.

Anyway since I had already heard about a few of the sites featured around here I put them up to try and get them a bit of attention through this wonderful thing called Stumble Upon (which is probably how you found the site, and if not get it because it’s great!)

So what now?

Well since it’s just me tinkering with this site and trying to find stuff to feature on it about worthy causes people can help out with their actions and answering questions and trying to promote it and learning about web design and occasionally finding time to eat and sleep I would really like some help with the site.

The site has received over 10,000 visitors in a little over 6 days.

Apparently that’s quite a lot according to some people who know a little more about web design than me so I’ll take their word for it.

I think the site has helped to bring some attention to a few cool things I found.

I would really like to feature more stuff like it.

So if you like the idea of helping out and bringing attention and a little focus to good causes then get in touch through one of the many contact forms on the site and I’ll get back to you.

If you think this site could be better then I encourage you to help me make it better by playing a part in building and shaping it.
