Good Search : Raising Money By Searching
September 29th, 2007
What if there was a way to earn a penny for a charity of your choice every time you searched the Internet? Well, now you can!
Good Search is a new search engine that donates half its revenue (about a penny per search) to the charities its users designate. You use it just as you would any search engine, and it’s powered by Yahoo!, so you get great results.
Just go to Good Search and enter the charity of your choice from a featured list as the charity you want to support. Just 500 people searching four times a day will raise about $7300 in a year for charity without anyone spending a dime!
With millions of searches done daily this is a small but staggeringly simple way to help raise money for charity day after day after day.
Please check out Good Search with the link above and tell your friends about Good Search and Stumble Aid.
Together we can make a difference.
Thank You Stumblers
September 28th, 2007Stumble Aid has only been going for a few days and the response has been astonishing.
We have received thousands of visitors and the charities featured have received thousands of clicks and in turn had money raised for them.
I would just like to thank all those Stumblers who have given the site a thumbs up and made this possible. This is a better start for the site than I could ever have hoped for and it is already making a small but meaningful difference.
To all those who have contacted me with support and suggestions I thank you and invite anyone else with advice on how we can best use this site to get in touch.
Please leave comments if you wish as a show of support and send in your suggestions on how we can improve the site.
We are also currently looking for volunteers to help us out with the site and to help us utilise it to do more to raise money for and awareness of charitable organisations.
If you know of a charity that you would like to see featured here then please either get them to contact us or send us details here and we shall do what we can.
Again I would like to thank the Stumble Upon community for all their support with this project. Your comments and suggestions have been amazing and this is just a small example of what can come from people acting in unison for a good cause.
All the best, be well and happy Stumbling.
